  {Workin' Girl}

So I haven't shown any of my work outfits yet, because I keep forgetting to take pics!! But I am really trying to remember so I can show you my awesome black and white! LOL!!!

Here is what I wore today:
White shirt: Old Navy $1.99
Cardi with button detail: NY&co. $?? (bought this in MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!) button detail was my doing though. Cost me $2.00 to add the buttons.
Pants: Lane Bryant $49.50 (these are actually my mom's, I snagged them from her closet! lol)
Shoes: passed down from my sis
Green Necklace: Dots $2.00
Watch: Charming Charlies $19.95

Ok, so I know you have never seen me wear a watch, and until last week, I had no need for one. But since we can not have our cell phones with us at work, if I am not on a register, I have no idea what time it is. So I went to Charming Charlies, which is right next to my work today and bought me this spiffy watch....pretty cool huh? And what a deal for under $20! ALSO, if you go into one of their stores, make sure you sign up for their rewards card, you get 10% off your purchase that day and 5% off every one after that!

Here is a close up of the watch:

And here is a close up of my green eyes today....had to color coordinate the necklace! :)

  {Running Errands}

So I was out running errands yesterday, nothing too big! :)
What I was wearing:
Striped Tank: Old Navy $1.99
Cardi: ??? I remembered that I got this at target, but I can't remember how much it was.
Jeans: Thrifted $7.99
Shoes: Target $3.47
Necklace: Cliare's $??

  And the Oscar Goes to.....

So everyone has been chatting up the Oscars! The best and worst dressed, who won, the sweep of slum dog...its all been told! So I wanted to focus on something I know well...MAKE UP!! I loved some of the looks that the stars were rocking this year, so I decided to share with you my top 5!

#5 Amy Adams

I think Amy's look was really pretty. She sported the berry lip which was a huge trend this year. Her heavy eyes were a little competition with the huge necklace she was wearing, but I think she pulled it off beautifully!

#4 Kate Winslet

Kate always looks stunning. She has come a long way since Titanic and this look was nothing short of brilliant. The super sophisticated hair allowed her to show off her lovely facial features. An A+ from me!

#3 Vanessa Hudgens

For only being 21, Vanessa sure knows what does and doesn't look good on her. She looks far away from a "High School" look here. The golden cheek is really accented with her tendril of hair curling down her jaw line. Way to go girl!

#2 Penelope Cruz

Penelope has a way of capturing the camera like no one else. I am not a huge fan of her acting, but I am a huge fan of her style. Her make up reminded me of Audry Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. The bouffant hair and accented eye with a nude lip really looks fabulous on her!

And my NUMBER ONE pick...
#1 Anne Hathaway

Has this girl come a long way since Princess Diaries or what?! I think she was the belle of the ball at the Oscars. She might not have won best actress, but she sure did shine! The berry lip with the winged eye is just so classic! I just love her in every way!!

So what did you think? Any one that stand out to you at the awards? Anyone that had a look you wanted to try, but not sure how? Let me know!!

There is going to be a lot of black here...

so from now on, you will be seeing a lot of black around here! Since my new job requires us to wear black and white only to work, I will be wearing a LOT of black, because, lets face it...white just doesn't look good on my frame! lol

So if you have any creative ideas on how to wear a ton of black and make it fashionable....I'm all ears!! :)

  Goodwill Hunting...SHOES!

So, I mentioned two posts ago that I had gone to Goodwill on Friday! I was so excited because I found a couple pairs of shoes for really good deals and wanted to show them off over here! :)

The first pair I was REALLY exited about because I had seen them over at Kasmira's blog and totally died over them! So imagine my surprise to see them brand new still with the tags on them from Target, these blue booties by Sigerson Morrison! These retailed for $39.99, I got them for......$3.99!

I also got these super cute ballet flats with super cute bows from Old Navy. They are an awesome tweed material and have little specks of red, blue and green all throughout! These will go with a TON of stuff in my closet! They were just $6.99!

So get out to your local Goodwill...you just NEVER know what treasures you will find there!

Its called Weight View and what their service does, is you send in a photo of yourself, and within a couple of days, they will send you your photo back, but you will be anywhere from 10-50lbs lighter! So duh, I chose the 50lbs, and OMG! This is total motivation to get my morning workouts back into my schedule!

  Oh no.....what did I do?!

Have you ever done something that you REALLY wanted to do, and then when you do it your freaking out because your mad at yourself that you let yourself do it? (Did I just loose you?!)

Well this was me this week. I have wanted to cut my hair again for a long time! The last time I got it cut, I went real short and blonde and sassy! I was thinking I would be able to capture that again.....ummmm....yeah............NOT the case! I am SOOOOO mad that I cut off my hair when it finally got to a length that I can style! I love the bangs, just not the length. So now I have to wait another 4+ months for it to grow back!

What do you think.....is the hair a hit or miss?

Outfit for today:
(oh, and don't you love a child that thinks "putting up your games" is stacking them on the floor next to the couch?!)
Orange Tank: Old Navy $3.00
Orange Shirt: Old Navy $3.00
Jeans: Old Navy $6.99
Shoes: Old Navy $4.00
Long Pearl Necklace: My Mom's collection
Short Pear Necklace: Gifted
Hair: TRAGIC!!!

  Catching up from the Week!

Hey everyone! I am so sorry I took a brief break from blogging so I could focus on my work, but now I have a moment to share my outfits from this week. I went to Bible study Friday, Church Sunday, and to get my hair cut on Monday! I have my photo for friday, but its on my other camera and the battery died so I have to go get some new ones before I can upload it! :(

But I will have two posts, one with my outfit from Sunday and one from Monday! :)

Here is my look for Church on Sunday. I was hoping to channel spring so it will warm up here...it worked! It was almost 80 today! :)

White Shirt: Old Navy $6.49
Sweater Vest: Old Navy $1.99!!!
Jeans: Old Navy $6.99
Shoes: Old Navy $4.00
(these shoes used to have a strap that goes around your ankle, but I took that off! I could never get used to it! hehe)
Butterfly necklace: I have no idea where this is from, I got it when I was like 12 or 13!!
Green Cuff: Claires $1.00

Oh...and I wanted to share my make up from today. Everyone at church kept saying it was so cool that I took the colors from my outfit. This is something I LOVE to do, so I will try to post more make up photos as well as my tutorials! :
